摘要
词不达意,表达生硬是英语写作的主要问题之一。语块对英语写作具有重要作用。对两组非英语专业大学生所进行的语块意识问卷调查、语块意识培养及其写作中语块使用状况的教学实验研究表明:实验组学生的语块意识整体上明显加强,体现在三个方面:语块识别的意识加强;语块表达能力加强;写作中语块使用意识加强。而且,通过分析作文,实验组学生所用语块在数量、频率上均明显高于对照组,种类也多样化。与其它研究不同,该研究使语块意识的内涵明确化具体化,在教学环节中具体实施意识培养方法,进一步丰富了教师培养语块意识的经验,激发出学生写作的积极性,从而提高英语写作水平。
Failure to express one's ideas is a major problem in English writing.Lexical chunks play an important role in English writing.This study on two groups of Chinese College English learners who received the cultivation of their lexical chunks consciousness,and whose compositions were analyzed in term of the lexical chunk application,reveals that the experimental groups' lexical chunks consciousness has been enhanced as a whole,which is verified in the following three aspects:in recognizing lexical chunks;in expressing lexical chunks;in using lexical chunks.Moreover,the number and variety of lexical chunks used by the experimental groups are both far beyond the control group,and frequency of using lexical chunks is also significantly higher.Unlike other studies,the connotation of lexical chunks consciousness in this study is specific and explicit,and specific methods of cultivating lexical chunks consciousness are implemented.Consequently,teachers become more experienced in enhancing consciousness,and students' initiative of using English is motivated and their writing ability is improved.
