摘要
对图像的无损压缩算法进行了研究,讨论了JPEG-LS图像压缩算法,阐述了该算法的基本原理,对其实现的细节及关键技术进行了深入研究,并用C语言实现了该算法。大量图像压缩实验表明,该算法是一种优越的无损压缩算法,对于多数图像,压缩比可以非常接近无损压缩极限,并且算法的运算时间很少,一幅512×512的8比特灰度图像的压缩和解压缩时间是毫秒级的,完全可以满足实时图像处理的要求。
This paper studies a lossless image compression algorithm, the JPEG LS algorithm. The basic principles of the algorithm are briefly discussed and the key technologies are deeply studied. Then this algorithm was realized by using the C programming language. Experimental results of the image compression demonstrations show that the algorithm is a superior lossless compression algorithm, and the image compression ratio can be very close to the entropy limitation, and the consumption of computing time of this algorithm is very low. It only needs some milliseconds to compress and decompress a grayscale image with the size of 512 × 512 × 8, and it fully meets the real time requirements.
