Marxism:A Developing Theory

对马克思、恩格斯对资本主义发展规律认识的发展变化、对俄国社会发展道路认识的发展变化和对人的本质的认识的发展变化三个问题的历史考察表明,整个马克思主义以及它的每一个基本概念和基本原理,都不是一经形成就凝固不变、停滞不前的,而是随着时代的变化、实践的发展和科学的进步不断发展变化、与时俱进的。这种认识具有非常有益的启示:马克思主义既然是发展着的理论,我们就要用发展的观点和开放包容的态度对待马克思主义;在马克思主义的教学和研究中要把"史"、"论"、"著"有机结合起来,撰写一批马克思主义专题史,编好马克思主义经典著作导读。

A historic study of the changes of Marx and Engels's views about capitalist principles,about the Russian socialist path and about human nature suggests that Marxism as a whole and all of its fundamental concepts and principles are never fixed and constant,but are doomed to develop with the change of time,progress of practice and advancement of science.An awareness of this change is beneficial in the sense that since Marxism is under development,we should hold a developmental and open attitude towards it.In the teaching and research of Marxism we are to integrate the Marxist history,theories and edited works into a whole and compile a series of special histories of Marxism and readers guide to the Marxist classics.
