Taking the box culvert concrete works of the Xinzhou Yunzhonghe Flood Diversion Project as an actual object, the paper expounds the adopted measures of placing concrete under low temperature condition. Its contents mainly include two aspects： controlling quality of the new placed concrete which is being placed under low temperature, conducting proper thermal insulation for the concrete when it don＇t reach the critical frost resistance strength.
