Soft clauses in the letter of credit,also known as traps terms,are one of the barriers hindering getting payment for China＇s small and medium- sized export enterprise. This paper firstly analyzes the background causes of soft clauses specifically and then addresses the three common types of soft terms and makes suggestions on how to deal with it.
