摘要
目前对于清末民国教科书的研究多关注教科书中介绍的新知与新知对中国现代启蒙产生的影响。不过由于研究者太关注教科书"趋新"的一面,有时就不免将复杂的问题简化,尤其值得怀疑的是不少研究将清末民国教科书抬高至"民国范儿"的象征物而大加颂扬。因此本文试图反思和讨论清末民国教科书的"另一面",努力给予当时教科书的支持者和反对者以共同的发言机会。特别希望能揭示出清末民国教科书编写过程和其内容中所反映的启蒙与传统间的多重勾连;教科书作为启蒙的生意却如何使得启蒙原本的路径发生异化,然后旁逸斜出等问题。
The present studies on the textbooks of late Qing and the Republic of China mostly concern on the new knowledge and its influence on modern enlightenment. They're so concerned on these textbooks' new side that may simplify this problem and even sing their praises of these textbooks asthe symbol of so-called "the Republican Van". By rethinking and discussing "another side" in the textbooks of late Qing and the Republic of China to which little attention has been paid in academia,this paper tries to give both supporters and opponents equal opportunity to express themselves, reveal multiple relations between the enlightenment reflected from the process of writing and contents of these textbooks and traditions, and explain how the textbooks, as the business of enlightenment,however, made the ideal path o~ enlightenment be alienated and then deflected.
