China is a large population country, with the continuous improvement of people＇s income and consumption ideas changing constantly, many problems have been becoming increasingly prominent, such as grain competition between human and cattle, meat food production and demand, as well as increasing meat price. This paper introduced the concept and significance of plant factory of forage grass upon introducing and analyzing emergence background for plant factory of forage grass, and presented cultivation techniques and variety selection in plant factory of forage grass, then pointed out that increased demand for beef and mutton consumption was a catalyst for the development of plant factory of forage grass, and using plant factory techniques to develop livestock industry would be the best selection for solving all the problems.
