On the Competitiveness of the Universities in China's Mainland among Top Universities in Asia:Data from World University Rankings over the Past Ten Years

本文以世界大学排名榜近十年的排名数据为依据,挑选排名前200名的亚洲顶尖大学建立数据库,以顶尖大学数量相对增长率、排名平均竞争力和排名增长率三项指标的变化为标准,分析中国大陆大学在亚洲顶尖大学群体中的竞争力,研究认为,中国大陆大学在亚洲顶尖大学群体中的竞争力处于中下游。

Based on data from the Qs World University Rankings over the past ten years, thisresearch selects the top 200 universities inAsian to establish the database, and thenfocuses on therelative growth rate of the numbers of top universities, average competitiveness and rank improvement rate toanalyze the competitiveness of the universities in China's Mainland among top universities in Asia. The findings indicate that the competitiveness of the universities in China's Mainland are below average.
