下华严寺菩萨造像的艺术特点

Artistic Features of the Bodhisattva Statues in Xia Huayan Temple

山西省大同市下华严寺中薄伽教藏殿内的菩萨造像,是从继承前代菩萨造像的基础上发展而来,它对后世的佛教雕塑,尤其是对山西在内的中原地区菩萨造像产生了重要影响。下华严寺菩萨彩塑是辽代菩萨造像艺术中的代表作,在中国美术史上占有重要的地位。本文通过对菩萨造像的历史渊源、造像类型的分析,探求下华严寺薄伽教藏殿菩萨造像的艺术独特性。

The Bodhisattva statues in the hall of Bojiajiaozang in Xia Huayan temple,which belongs to Datong,Shanxi provience,were based on the style of Bodhisattva statues in previous dynasties,they had produced great influence on the latter style of Buddha statues,especially,the Bodhisattva statues in central China.The painted Bodhisattva statues in Xia Huayan temple are the representative works in Liao dynasty,owned the significant position in Chinese art history.Through the analysis of the historical origin and types of modelling skills of Bodhisattva statues,the author of this article aims to explore the unique style of Bodhisattva statues in the hall of Bojiajiaozang in Xia Huayan temple.
