With the widely deployment of LTE, current mobile core network is facing the continual impact caused by the data traffic explosion and business model transformation during supporting the quick growth of mobile services. It will be difficult for traditional mobile core network architecture to meet the key requirement of future mobile network to transfer large-scale data with high efficiency. The industry has initiated the research of mobile core network evolution. This paper analyzed the evolution targets o fnext generation mobile core network, and the evolution direction based on SDN and NFV technologies.
