On the basic studies of the development of Haiyuan Library and the thoughts of its owners, the author of the book A Study of Haiyuan Library Collection has done a comprehensive, systematic and deep research about Haiyuan Library＇s collection, preservation, copy, using and loss. Specifically, with full investigations and multiple research methods such as data graph and comparison, the research focuses on the practice of the books＇ catalogue, engraving and transcription.From an overall perspective, the study has basically made clear the value of the book collections of Yang＇s family and holds the opinion that it can be regarded as a model work for the study of private library in China. 1 ref.
