试论《东南日报》对南京保卫战的报道

A Discussion on the Reports of Nanjing-defending Battle by Southeast Daily

南京保卫战是抗战初期一次重要的战役。有关这次战役,新近发现《东南日报》有着全面和完整的报道和评述,为今人的研究留下了有价值的历史资料。这在当时遭受日军空前沉重打击和破坏的中国新闻界是十分不易的。《东南日报》对南京保卫战的报道和评述,包括了日军对南京的攻击、国际社会对此的反应,尤其难得的是,《东南日报》在这中间传播和赞扬了中国军队的英勇表现、呼吁全力对南京的保卫、检讨了中方战略战术的一系列得失。

The Nanjing-defending Battle was an important one in the beginning of the Anti-Japanese War. About this battle, recently Southeast Daily has been found to have comprehensive and integral reports and comments, re- serving the valuable historical data for the present research. It was not easy to do it for the Chinese press which had suffered unprecedented and severe blows and destructions by Japanese troops. The reports and comments of Nanjing- defending battle by the newspaper include Japanese troop＇ s attacks on Nanjing, the international responses to them, etc.. It is worth notice that the newspaper also praised Chinese soldiers＇ bravery and sacrifices, appealed to people to spare no efforts to defend Nanjing, and reviewed the gains and losses of Chinese strategy and tactics.
