The Practical Significance of Studying Historical Materialism

在全面深化改革之际,习近平总书记倡导和推动全党,特别是党的领导干部学习、运用历史唯物主义。从直接的现实层面说,这是要求在全面深化改革过程中坚持马克思主义的政治立场,创造性地运用党的历史经验解决当前的问题,有强烈的正本清源的意义。今天,全面深化改革必须以历史唯物主义作指导,唯有如此,才能正确确定全面深化改革的出发点、性质、原则、目的、动力和过程等基本问题,保证改革取得更大的成就。

At the time of comprehensively deepening the reform,General Secretary Xi Jinping urges the whole Party,especially the leading cadres,to study and apply historical materialism. At the practical level,this means to stick to the political stance of Marxism during the process of deepening the reform comprehensively and solve the existing problems creatively on the basis of the Party's historical experience,which is of great significance of reform at the root. Today,deepening the reform comprehensively must be guided by historical materialism,and only in this way could we ensure its correct departure point,nature,principles,goal,motivation and process,as well as obtain greater achievement during the reform.
