The paper introduces the English writing teaching mode in the University of Pittsburgh from the perspectives of curriculum design, course contents, teaching methods and evaluation system, and discusses its enlightenment on English writing teaching in China, with the hope of improving English writing teaching in China and develop students＇ critical thinking, independent writing and creative writing.
