The Development of Elderly Service in Aging China

人口老龄化是21世纪亟需面对的重要挑战。在新的历史时期,发展老龄产业,特别是养老服务业成为我国实现经济社会和谐、稳定、可持续发展的必然要求。这就必须从人口老龄化趋势加剧的实际出发,站在社会主义现代化建设全局的战略高度,坚持运用社会化和产业化机制,全面推动养老服务业持续健康发展。

Aging population is one of the important challenges that we face in 21 st century. In the new historical period,developing aging industry, especially elderly service, is the requirement of achieving the economic and social harmony, stability and sustainable development in China. To accomplish this, we must realize that the intensified aging trend and socialist modernization, use the socialized and industrialized mechanism, and promote a sustained and healthy development of elderly service industry.
