By introducing the supervision principle of the method of small angle measurement,the paper analyzes the supervision accuracy and stability of working base point and other factors,points out the adoption of the method in the measurement of the foundation pit horizontal dis-placement observation point with the premise of the stability of the working point,and indicates the application of the method by combining with the factual engineering examples.
