PROFIBUS DP/PA transmission technology and translation mechanism are addressed in the paper, and how to design a typical PROFIBUS DP/PA coupler based on general devices by SAIC is discussed too. The success experience can accelerate the implementation of other PROFIBUS DP/PA network devices in the industry.
