The performance testing for the information system includes manual and automatic tes ting methods. The automatic performance testing is the most effective performance testing meth- od. An automatic information system performance testing method called script controller agent virtualuser analysis （SCAVA） is designed. The working principles and constitution of the meth- od are described. The example shows that the method can effectively locate the existed perform- ance problems of the system, thus improving the system performance.
