The ternary composites of poly(1actic acid)(PLA) ,acorn starch(AS) and dimer fatty acid polyamide(DAPA) were produced by hot-melt extrusion method. The effects of DAPA content on the mechanical, hydrophobic, thermal properties and melt fluidity of the composites were studied under the condition of invariable mass ratio of AS to PLA being 40/60. The results show that the hydrophobic property and melt fluidity of the composite increase with the increase of DAPA content, while the tensile and flexural strength firstly increase, then decrease with the increase of DAPA content. When the mass fraction of DAPA is 2%,the composite has highest mechanical properties. DAPA can improve the interfacial compatibility between PLA and acorn starch, but reduces the glass transition temperature and the initial thermal stability of the composites.
