摘要
姑息性镇静治疗是姑息关怀整体的一部分.镇静治疗是一种常规的临床治疗方法,包含深度持续和浅度间隙镇静,即在生命末期有意降低意识水平,目的是缓解不能忍受的痛苦.预期患者将会濒死,降低生命末期的意识以缓解痛苦是恰当的.姑息性镇静治疗就是应对顽固性症状和由此而引起的无法忍受的痛苦;深度持续镇静应具有适应证和预期死亡将在1～2周的条件.
Palliative sedation therapy（PST） has been defined as part of an overall process of palliative care~ and that sedation therapy is considered to be a form of normal medical treatment. Pal- liative sedation refers not only to deep continuous sedation, but also to superficial intermittent forms of sedation, which is the intentional lowering of a patient＇s level of consciousness in the last stage of life. The aim of palliative sedation therapy is to relieve unbearable suffering. Lowering consciousness to relieve suffering is appropriate in the last stage of life, in which death is expected to ensue in the near future. PST is response to untreatable or ＇refractory＇ symptoms which are causing the patient unbearable suffering. The use of continuous deep sedation has indications and condition which is the expectation that death will ensue in the reasonably near future, that is within one to two weeks.
