成人手足口病四例及病毒学观察

Hand, foot and mouth disease in adults： four case reports and a virologic study

目的 了解成人手足口病患者以及家庭成员感染情况.方法 对成人手足口病患者进行观察,并对家庭成员作随访调查,用RT-PCR检测患者及家庭成员的粪便标本病毒分型.结果 4例成人手足口病患者病原学检测结果均为阳性;随访4例成人手足口病患者9名家庭成员,发现2例患者家中曾有手足口病患儿和3例成人手足口病隐性感染患者.结论 成人可感染手足口病病毒,并存在成人隐性感染者.

Objective To report four adult patients with hand,foot and mouth disease （HFMD）,and to investigate its prevalence in their family members.Methods A clinical investigation was carried out in four adult patients with HFMD,and their family members （or roommates）.Fecal specimens were collected from these patients and their 9 family members （or roommates）,and reverse transcription-PCR was performed to detect human enterovirus 71 （EV71） and coxsackievirus A16 （CA16） in these specimens.Results Of the 4 adult patients,3 were positive for EV71,and 1 was for CA16.Clinical investigation identified 2 children patients with HFMD （in 2 families） and 3 adult patients with asymptomatic infection with EV71.Conclusions HFMD can affect adults,and may be asymptomatic in adults.
