论律师在信访工作中的特殊作用

On the Special Role of Lawyers in Petition

信访是群众表达诉求的方式之一,目前信访引发的社会问题很多,各地政府及司法部门因信访耗费了大量的人力、物力和财力。律师应当参与到信访中来,应当在信访中发挥智囊团、宣传员、疏导员和协调员的作用,以确保人民安居乐业、社会和谐稳定,为实现国家依法治国宏伟目标作出其应有的贡献。

Petition is one of the ways for the mass to express their opinions and requirements. It is always causing problems recently, for local governments and judicial administration departments have to pay much man- power, material resources and financial resources to deal with it. Lawyers should actively get involved in petition and play a role as an adviser, advertiser, facilitator, and coordinator, in order to ensure people live and work in peace and contentment, and do their own part in fulfilling the goal of “rule by law”.
