中药药性理论是中医理论体系重要的组成部分。从"苦寒"清热泻火、"苦寒"燥湿、"苦寒"降泄、"苦寒"坚阴、"苦寒"健胃5个方面论述"苦寒"方药之功用。从"苦寒"冰伏之患、"苦寒"补阴之谬、"苦寒"伤阴之弊、"苦寒"损阳之势4个方面梳理"苦寒"方药使用之宜忌,并对"苦寒"中药药性溯源、传统功效分类及现代药理作用进行了总结。

Medicinal theory is an important part of TCM theoretical system. Research on the nature of cold bitter medicinals has become one focus at present. The effectiveness of cold bitter medicinals was discussed in this article from clearing heat and fire,drying dampness,downbearing and discharging,consolidating yin and fortifying the stomach. The application compatibility and incompatibility of cold bitter medicinals were summarized from the damage to yin and yang. The origin,traditional efficiency classification and modern pharmacological effects of cold bitter medicinals were discussed.
