斯蒂克利与美国艺术与手工艺运动的“工匠”风格

摘要 斯蒂克利家具的"工匠"风格是20世纪初美国艺术与手工艺运动的重要组成部分。本文从思想基础和实践两个方面进行论证,剖析了"工匠"家具设计风格形成的要素及背景。指出斯蒂克利注重消费者的实际需求,以实用为先并注重通过产品促进一种新的生活方式而不是艺术或个性化的表达,为"工匠"风格的实践提供了思想基础。
