On Development of Sci-technical Periodicals in the Era of Media Convergence

进入21世纪以来,伴随着计算机和网络信息技术的兴起与发展,新媒体的发展已步入一个飞跃阶段。出版的内容形式、传播手段、盈利模式和市场主体的变化,对整个出版产业均产生了巨大的影响。媒体融合时代给科技期刊发展带来了新的问题与挑战,借助网络化、数字化的发展趋势,中国科技期刊应承载起学术传播与发展先进科学文化的重任,紧随社会发展潮流,抓住机遇、良性生存,探索出适合自身发展的道路。

Following the emergence of computer and network information technology in the 21 st century, new media has stepped up into a new period of leaping forward development. This causes great changes in contents and forms, communication means, profit models, and market entities in the publication industry. Besides, it has brought new problems and challenges to the development of sci-technical periodicals. In the paper, it was proposed that scitechnical periodicals in China should follow the trend of networking and digitalization and bear in mind the responsibilities of scholarly communication and advanced science and culture promotion to e, xplore ways that are suitable for their own development.
