The Evolution of WLAN Standard and its Application in the Wireless Campus Network

摘要 通过阐述无线局域网(WLAN)相关技术的特点、应用现状及技术演进过程,对其中的第五代WLAN标准——802.11ac协议进行了重点分析,从与802.11ad协议对比、基本原理结构及其应用场合等方面进行了介绍。根据当前的技术进展,总结了802.11ac协议采用的协议框架、核心关键技术、使用频段、PHY层数据速率、客户端支撑能力以及将来的应用场景等五个方面的内容。结合西安科技大学校园网建设的现状和用户群体规模特点,提出了采用802.11ac协议和Aerohive公司相关的无线网络设备搭建校园网的无线网络部分,同时利用前期建设成果校园网网络计费认证管理系统,实现校园网有线和无线网络的统一认证、计费等管理。通过该无线网络的建设,进一步方便了师生对信息技术的需求,更好的支撑了本科教学工作。 The characteristics, application status and evolution process of technology of the wireless local area network (WLAN) were expounded. The fifth generation WLAN standard-802.11 ac was specially introduced in detail about the basic principle, structure, applications and difference compared with 802.1 lad. The five aspects of 802.1 l ac were summarized from the core technology, using spectrum characteristics, PHY layer data rate, the client support ability and the future appli- cation scenario. Finally from the status quo of campus network construction and the characteristics of the user population size, the paper put forward that by adopting ac802.11 protocol and Aerohive companies wireless network equipment to the partial building of the campus network and with the help of campus network accounting certification management system, the unification of the wired and wireless network authentication in our campus management can be realized to further facilitate our school teachers and students'demand for information technology, and to better support the undergraduate teaching in our school.
