GPON, with the advantages of high bandwidth utilization and coupling ratio , is one of the most advanced technologies in the field of access network currently .This article introduces GPON technology and its application , based on the real project named as The 3rd Period of Guanyue Square in Shiyan city which is completed by Shiyan branch of Chinese Unicom .
