建筑设计只有在特定情境下的体验中才有具体的物性,因此建筑的上下文在实践中至关重要,而建筑"语言"也不再可有可无了。当代日本建筑的独特之处在于,它是高度综合的社会一工艺环境的产物,而它的方法论表述起来却显得是普适的和没有时间特征的。日本建筑的经验产出之丰富恰和它的理论之抽象互为映照。本文试图将建筑言说划分为3种不同性质的"批评",同时以当代和历史的例证对日本建筑写作做一批判性的思考。
An architectural design acquires its tangible materiality though bodily practices set in specific circumstances, making its context practically crucial and its language theoretically relevant. Contemporary Japanese architecture is unique in part because it is the embodiment of a highly comprehensive socio-tectonic system while its methodology is often portrayed as ubiquitous and timeless. Its outcome is as experientially rich as its theory is abstract. Dividing the general architectural treatise into three different kinds of "criticism," the essay attempts a critical review of Japanese architectural writing with cases drawn from recent practices as well as historical experiments.
