An Attempt of A Modest Architecture:Changsha Cultural Relic Center of Tianxin Pavilion

天心阁文物交易中心位于长沙天心阁及古城墙脚下,毗邻长沙简牍博物馆,并与白沙古井隔路相望,周围环境敏感而复杂。项目设计的起点始于对场地自身关系的梳理与平衡,并将关注点从建筑转向城市。"弱建筑"理念贯穿于该项目始终,建筑师尝试用"筑台""凿井""垒石"等设计方式来表达对历史建筑的尊重之情,"弱"化自身以修补城市。

Cultural Relic Center of Tianxin Pavilion is located at the foot of Tianxin Pavilion and the ancient city wall, close to the Bamboo Slip Museum. It is separated from the Baisha Ancient Well by a street. The concept of modest architecture runs through the design process constantly. The architect has respected the historical buildings through terrace construction, well digging, stone piling, and so on, thus weakening the building itself in order to complement the city.
