“墙”中世界——昆山阳澄湖公园游客中心

A World in a "Wall" :Visitor Center,Lake Yangcheng Park,Kunshan

建筑师企图在本设计中诠释,即使是一个不大的小品设计也能揭示建筑的功能及基地的本质。为了打造一扇欢迎游客的大门,坐落在线形基地上的昆山阳澄湖公园游客中心被设计成一道带多个门洞的大"墙"。但它又不是一道简单的"墙",游客在入门之后会发现"墙"内隐藏着丰富多变的空间。室内外空间被配成对来形成多个既有庇护又亲近自然的环境。这一体验过程最终让使用者在一个小建筑中同样能有一系列新的发现。

The architect attempts to use the design to illustrate how a small building can be designed to reveal the nature of function and site. Since the essence of a visitor center is a gate that welcomes the visitors, the architect designed the building on a linear site as a ＂wall＂ with several gates. But it is more than a simple wall. Upon passing the gates, people will discover many diverse spaces hidden in the ＂wall＂ . Indoor and outdoor spaces are paired to form settings that are both protected and open to nature. The process affords users to constantly have new discoveries even in a small structure.
