An introduction is being presented to the off-line overspeed test for a 9FA single-shaft combined cycle gas turbine unit, and to specific operation procedures of the test on the Mark VIe control interface, as welL as to various problems occurring in the test, like that the turbine speed can not be raised up to the setpoint in trip protection, and how to determine the fuel stroke reference （FSR）, etc., to which deep analysis is performed, and subsequently corresponding countermeasures are put forward on the speed control logic of fuel stroke, with a startup curve recorded after the logic optimization.
