Fast algorithm of fractional-pixel motion estimation in HEVC

摘要 文章提出一种新的分数运动估计快速搜索算法,该算法充分利用最佳整数像素点周围的8邻域整数像素点,用带5个参数的二次型曲面函数2次模拟误差曲面,得到2个候选分数像素点,将其加权作为最终的分数像素点。实验结果表明该算法图像质量基本不变,计算复杂度有较大的降低,编码效率有较大的提高。 In this paper ,a new fast fractional-pixel motion estimation search algorithm is proposed ,which makes full use of eight neighboring integer-pixel points around the optimal integer-pixel point .This algorithm models the error surface in fractional-pixel position by quadratic surface function with five parameters two times to get two fractional-pixel candidate points ,and the final point is obtained by weighting these points . T he experimental results show that the proposed method can reduce the complexity and improve the coding ef -ficiency greatly with negligible quality degradation .
