In analytical chemistry , method detection limit was an important parameter to determine analytical methods.Several terms related to MDL were expounded and compared and the method to determine the MDL widely used abroad was illustrated also.Estimation of detection limit was introduced in detail , in the way of titration , spectrophotometry and gas chromatography , which meant a lot to the rationality and scientific nature of the data if the concept and determine of MDL were normalized in the water quality inspection.
