Experience Sharing, Cluster Development and Collaborative Innovation: Review and Reflections on Three Seminars by Eight Newly-founded Universities of Science and Technology in China

全国八所同层次、同类型、跨区域高校之间以"研讨会"方式联盟,共同探讨本层次、本类型高校所面临的问题,并寻求问题解决之道,实践了高校联盟的新模式,是新建理工类本科院校不甘示弱,谋求集群发展、实施协同创新、试图集体卓越的一个强烈信号,表达了对我国高等教育事业的强烈社会责任感。对全国八所新建地方理工类本科院校三年六次研讨会进行回溯与梳理,归纳了六次研讨会所达成的新建理工类本科院校发展理念共识,揭示了八校研讨会前三年所产生的实践成效,并就八校研讨会可持续发展进行了思考。

The eight universities featuring the same level, the same type and the different regions merge together in the form of seminar to discuss the problems confronting each other and search for possible solutions, which is the new pattern of intercollegiate coalition, suggestive of their determination to seek mutual development, coordinated innovation and mutual excellence as well as their strong sense of social obligations towards the higher education cause. The paper overviews the six seminars held in three years, summarizes the common understanding arrived at during these seminars, points out the practical effects and reflects upon the sustainable development of such seminar.
