对一些常用情报术语标准化的探讨

A STUDY OF STANDARDIZATION OF INFORMATION TERMS FREQUENTLY USED

文中简单介绍了语言的作用和词汇演变的一般规律，提出了情报术语标准化应遵循的几项原则：向国际标准靠拢；要考虑国情；词汇确立要合理；词汇要一词一义。根据上述几项原则，作者探讨了一些常用的情报术语，如情报，文献，特种文献，文献检索工具，目录，书目，目次，文献条日（题录、简介、文摘），索引，标题，主题词，新到文献提供，专题文献普查等。

This paper makes a brief introduction of the role of language and the general rules of the development of vocabulary,and then proposes a few prin-ciples the standardization of information terms should follow： to draw closer to international standardization; to take the national status into consideration; to be rational in establishing the vocabulary; and to abide with one meaning for one term in the vocabulary. The author makes an investigation of some frequently used information terms according to the principles just enumerated above like information, documents, special documents, document retrieval tools, catalogues, bibliographies, table of contents, document entries （title, synopsis, abstract）, indexes, subjects, keywords, provision of newly acquired documents, general survey of special-topic documents, etc.
