From the angle of information analysis work in scientific institutions, the author brings up some problems worthy of discussion comprising： to whom should information service be rendered; the position of domestic and foreign information should be properly placed; technical information should be on a par with econo mic information; offer current information service well and do forecasts into the future; combine document search with actual investigation; and the scope of doc- uments collected should be broad.
