工程师情报需求的特点、问题和对策

CHARACTERISTICS, PROBLEMS AND STRATEGIES OF INFORMATION DEMANDS OF ENGINEERS

本文是工程师情报需求调查的总结报告。当前我国企业工程师获取情报的主要方法是阅读书面资料；主要关心的情报内容是科技专业知识、有关科技发展的现状和生产信息；最感兴趣的情报服务项目是阅览借阅服务和情报交流服务；查找和阅读情报资料的时间占全部工作时间的21．57％。工程师时当前情报环境感到满意的人数只占调查总人数的6％，满足情报需求的首要障碍因素是缺少阅读情报资料的时间和现代化情报设备。

This is the summary report of a survey made in the information demands of engineers. At present, the maior means through which the engineers acquire information is the perusal of written material; the contents of information they are primarily concerned about are professional sci-tech knowledge and information regarding the status quo of sci-tech development and production; the items of information service they are most interested in are services in reading and lending/borrowing as well as in information exchange; and the amount of time spent on information data search and perusal takes up 21.57% of the total length of time for work. The number of engineers who are satisfied with the present information environment accounts for only 6% of the total of same enquired. The primary factors that mar the meeting of their information demands are the shortage of time to peruse information material and the lack ot modernised information equipment.
