Brief Analysis of the Declined Reasons of Han Rhapsody

散体大赋最能代表汉代文学特色。在汉帝国最强盛时期，赋家们借助此种文学形式来歌功颂德、宣扬皇威。但汉末的社会现实已不适合作家再用华美的辞藻、宏伟的气魄来夸饰，赋家们不得不放弃散体大赋而写作抒情小赋。抒情小赋也就必然走上历史的舞台。

The poetic prose is the best representative of literary feature in Han times. The posers used this form to eulogize the virtues and achievements in the most powerful period in Han times to praise the emperor. However, it was not fitable for the posers to exaggerate by using such elegant great words for the black social realistic they faced with the end of the Han times. So they had to give up the rhapsody and turned to lyric prose. This paper is trying to analyze the inner factors of the rhapsody from the viewpoint of history, to analyze the historical decline of rhapsody, and to answer the question why the lyric prose came to appear on the historical stage definitely.
