摘要
对待演员的分类与创造力的品评,历来是人们争论的问题之一。传统的提法常常把演员分成三类,即本色演员、类型演员与性格演员。以此又派生出三种表演,即本色表演、类型表演以及性格表演。严格说,我不赞成把演员分成类剖。
It is said that there are three kinds of performing. identified, typified and characterised. I don' t share this view, because the most concrete and subtle is the performer' s creation, which we should not classify. But there are indeed several types of performers. Instinct- type performers experience with instinct the situations provided by the roles. They don't change themselves to play parts in great differences with their identities. Creating-type performers have the ability and the urge to create. They can consciously change their identities by means of their instinctive energy so as to portray their parts. There are three levels of creative abilities. The first level is to change the performer's appearance and look. The second involves changing his own identity to some degree to adapt to the needs of the characters. The hird is the supreme one which can be called 'becoming deformed in multi-directions', deeply and widely changing his identity for the needs of his parts. The identity's 'deforming in multi-directions' is a film actor's dbility to change at a layer of great depth and the basic appearannces. The 'similarity in spirit' in film performing can make up for the deficiency of the 'similarity in appearance''. There is the possibility for film acting to undergo a deep experience.
