摘要
引言 倘若不从一种学术研究的目的出发,我们今天去谈论史诗有什么意义呢?“今天”的存在和“史诗”的存在之间似乎有一道无形的、由历史决定了的时间鸿沟,使得我们难以直接把史诗作为当代文化中的一个角色来谈论它的影响和意义。
The origin of epic and its significance, the dividing and evolving of epic and the spirit of epic are discussed in the first part of this essay; Discussions on the crisis of modern culture and the tendency of modern culture development in the second part. Through his investigation on the origin and evolution of epic, the author proves that the spirit of mankind and the significance of history-making in the course of epical development: The author suggested that the epic is the origin of consciousness of human be- ing, it offerd not only the images as material or element but brought up the form of creative ability and the protoplast structure of the world itself. The author cited opinions as the Western world is fac- ing the edge of another regeneration of spirit regeneration; We are living in the alternative time of the two civilizations. He suggests to name this time as the 'Aspiring for epic' and named this aspiration as the surpassing vision. Thinking from the epical point, the author deems that the modern art, which is in predicament of 'break-out performance' at the end of this century, must put the world into comformation again and connect the ways at the turning point of destiny, so as to be possible to extricate. Uneasy though the task was, still we can beleive there exists a specific path by inference on circumstances of poetry movement in the late century.
