建构平台与自我展示:留学生与近代公共文化空间——以学会、报刊、杂志为研究视角

Platform Constructing and Self Presentation:Overseas Students and Public Culture Space in Modern History from the Perspectives of Associations,Newspapers,Magazines

近代留学生群体发展的过程,亦是公共文化空间构建的过程。具有双重文化性近代留学生群体在国内外创建学会(社),创办报刊杂志,并通过这些以传播文化,争论问题,互动交流,展示自我,于是公共文化空间逐渐形成。近代中国的公共文化空间与西方社会所谓的"公共领域"不同,前者是产生中国式"公共领域"的土壤,其功能的具体表现既有文学式的优雅,亦有政论式的急峻。

When overseas students grew in modern history,the public culture space was constructed. The groups of students who had dual culture identities constructed a lot of associations.By this way, they introduced culture,debated,interacted and displayed themselves.Then the public culture space was gradually formed.The public culture space in modern China was different from “public domain”in the Western countries.It was the soil in which “public domain”with Chinese style was made and had the literary elegance and political sharpness.
