摘要
以安徽省4所高校400余名二年级学生为对象,运用问卷调查和访谈法对英语学习中的同伴资源运用状况进行调查。发现我国大学生对同伴资源作用的总体认知和做法较好,但课外使用英语及写作互动明显不足,且主要限于完成教师布置的任务。不同群体间有一定差异:1)英语专业学生在对同伴作用的认知、互动内容和互动方式方面普遍优于非英语专业学生,但互动中对语法和语音关注不够,与非英语专业学生区别不明显;2)英语学习不成功者对同伴资源有过度依赖倾向,学习自主性不足。文章并从社会文化理论和生态语言学视角讨论了调查发现对外语教学的启示。
This study investigates the use of peer resources in English learning by Chinese college students. It is found that Chinese college students generally have a good understanding and utilization of peer resources in English learning, but out-of-classroom peer interaction and writing interaction are far from enough in quantity and mostly confined to assignment fulfilling. Significant differences are also detected between learner groups:(1) English majors generally do better than non-English majors in peer resource utilization,but both learner groups pay rather weak attention to grammar and pronunciation in peer interaction;(2) unlike successful learners, unsuccessful ones tend to depend on peer resources excessively and thereby lack autonomy. Finally, implications for college English teaching are discussed from the sociocultural theory and ecological linguistics perspectives.
