沙州刺史李庭光相关问题稽考

Some Problems Regarding Li Tingguang,Governor of Shazhou

S.1523+上博40抄录了沙州刺史兼豆卢军使《李庭光莫高灵岩佛窟之碑并序》,然有学者将李庭光释作李光庭;其年代则主要有"武周后期"和天宝年间的不同认识。本文从碑文校释入手,据碑文本身所蕴涵的年代背景信息和相关文献、文物资料,就碑文本身所书、时代、身份和籍贯四个方面论证了碑主为李庭光。豆卢军长官豆卢军经略使更名为豆卢军使不晚于景龙四年(710)五月;其任沙州刺史时间当为长安四年(704)至景龙四年;碑文撰写于景龙四年。

S. 1523 together with No.40 manuscript collected in the Shanghai Museum provides a copy of an inscription on a stele describing the construction of the Lingyan Cave at the Mogao Grottoes sponsored by Li Guangting, author of the inscription, governor of Shazhou, and military commander of the Doulu Army. Many scholars mistake Li Guangting for Li Tingguang, and some scholars think the stele dates back to the late period of Empress Wu Zetian＇s reign whereas others think it dates from the Tianbao era in the Tang dynasty. By interpreting the inscription and exploring the historical background implicated therein, this paper, in consultation withother relevant historical documents and relics, discusses the. contents and date of the inscription, as well as the status and birthplace of its writer, eventual/y coming to the following conclusions： the writer is Li Tingguang; the inscription was written between the third year of the Shenglong era （707） and the fourth year oftheJinglong era （710） ; Li Tingguang was in power from the fourth year of the Chang＇ an era （704） to the fourth year of the Jinglong era （710） ; and that ＂Governor of the Doulu Army＂ was renamed ＂Commander of the Doulu Army＂ no later than the fourth year oftheJinglong era.
