Two Cases of Characters Explanation in Recently-Found Bronzes

本文对《史惠鼎》、《(?)钟》中的两处字词进行了考释:把《史惠鼎》中的"褐化(?)"读为"遏过去怒",是遏止过错,除去怨怒之意;把《(?)钟》中的"埶"读为"杰",是杰出人材之意。

This paper reanalyzes characters in two pieces of inscriptions ofshlhui ding and yah bell. The author points out the line eguoqunu should be read as ‘jiaguo qulu＇, which means rectifying faults and refraining from angry. Besides, the character ‘jie＇ （埶） is used as a rebus of ‘jie＇ （杰） to express the meaning of an eminent person.
