吉林机器局是东北地区第一家近代军火工厂,主要产品为枪弹、炮弹和火药,以满足当时吉林省和黑龙江省的防务所需。此外,还自行试制试造了枪、炮和轮船,并首创用机器铸造银元。"表正书院"是吉林机器局的附属职业技术学校,为机器局培养了实用技术人才。现在,吉林机器局旧址已成为省级文物保护单位。它是吉林老工业基地的历史见证,是一处宝贵的工业遗产。

Jilin Arsenal is the first munitions factory in the northeast of China. The main products included bul-lets,shell and gun powers,which satisfied the needs of the defense of Jilin and Heilongjiang Provinces. Besides that,Jilin Arsenal tried to manufacture the guns,the cannons and the ships,and it made the silver dollars by ma-chines at the first. Biaozheng Academy is the affiliated vocational technical school of Jilin Arsenal. It trained the practical and technical talents for Jilin Arsenal. Now,the former site of Jilin Arsenal has became the provincial cultural relics protection unit. It is the historical testimony to the old industrial base of Jilin. It is a precious indus-trial heritage.
