On Institution and Morality in Transformation Period of Modern Society

社会生活的现代转型深刻地改变了制度与道德这二者的伦理基础、关系形态和作用机制。制度与道德的合法性基础不再是传统的形而上学预设,而是世俗社会生活中人际关系的合理化,从而更加清晰地凸显了二者的伦理本质。制度和道德从传统社会的泛伦理化状态中分化出来,有着各自不同的功能边界和作用机制,但同时又更加紧密地相互依存。厘清制度与道德在现代社会的伦理基础、关系形态和作用机制,是当代中国制度建设和道德建设的重要前提。

Modern transformation of social life has deeply changed the ethical foundation,relationship and mechanism of the institution and morality. The legitimacy foundation of institution and morality is not the traditional metaphysical finalism presupposition,but rationalization of interpersonal relationship in the secular social life. So,the ethical essence of institution and morality is much clearer. The institution and morality have been differentiated from pan-ethics state in the traditional society,and each of them has its own function boundary and mechanism;meanwhile,they are interdependent. It is an important premise of institution and morality construction in contemporary China to discriminate ethical foundation,relationship and mechanism of the institution and morality in modern society.
