On the Relationship Between Music and the Interpretation of The Holy in Art of Leeuw

在《神圣的艺术》(The Holy in Art)一书的第六章中,荷兰宗教学家范·德·列欧(G.Van der Leeuw)从宗教现象学、神学以及音乐学出发,以"回到事情本身"的基本态度,详细阐述了他对音乐神圣性的理解,其宗旨就是要找回音乐与神圣的最初关系,找回音乐的真实本性,找到人与音乐之间的内在关联。就此提出从上帝而来的对于人的内在启示的意向性关系,提出音乐作品能够展现世界的本质学说。

In Chapter 6 of The Holy in Art, starting from the phenomenology of religion, theolo- gy and musicology, the Dutch religious scholar Van Der Leeuw elaborated on his understanding of the sacredness of music with the basic attitude of ＂Back to the things themselves＂. His purpose is to get back to the original relationship of the sacred and the music and find the true nature of the music, and the inner association between man and music. Thereupon it is expressed with the intentional relation of the inner revelation from God and it is proposed the doctrine that pieces of music can show the es- sence of the world.
