It highlights the ethnic memory and home imagination in South Asian Diasporic Literature. This paper discusses these questions and the literary characteristics in the works of those representatives of South Asian diasporic literature. In addition, the author also thinks deeply why ＂going back＂ is not necessarily ＂returning home＂ and the contradiction of darkness and brightness becomes an inevitable prophecy to diasporas.
