For extremely obsession with the psychological description and spiritual exploration in a very special historical context, Luling＇s novels was deemed as the ＂heterodoxy＂ of revolutionary literature and looked like so obviously deviating from the times. Nonetheless, either on the principled ideals and values or writing style and purport, he always remained the same with the main trend of the revolutionary literature. Though the contradictions and separations between the two sides, pacing with the times and deviating from the times, maybe the characteristics of his times was presented more adequately and complicatedly in Luling＇s novels.
