The design Hangzhou West Lake Four Seasons Hotel has attempted to apply a traditional architecture form to adapt the demand of modern life which essentially makes the space full of vitality. This essay introduces the background of the project, also the design problems and solutions in the process. Based on the analysis of environment, space and details, it represents the characters of traditional Chinese architecture and the thoughts on modern application.
